Student Involvement
With more than 200 student organizations on campus it's easy to find people who share your interests, or to discover new ones.
Art students participate in a wide variety of student organizations, including academic clubs and societies, visual and performing arts, community service groups, health and wellness organizations, business/career-focused clubs, and faith-based groups, among many others.
In addition to the many existing opportunities for involvement, Davidson supports students who wish to create new ones. If you have an idea or vision that is not realized in the existing student organizations, the Student Activities Office will work with you to develop your idea and create a new group.

Beyond programming available on campus through the art department, the Galleries and student-run clubs and organizations, there are ample opportunities to get off campus and explore art in the world beyond Davidson. Grants and funding have provided opportunities for students to take gallery crawls through Charlotte, learn about art in Japan over spring break and build community through study sessions in the VAC during finals.
Davidson Arts and Creative Engagement (DACE) works to integrate art and creativity into the daily lives of the Davidson community. DACE staff and student fellows spread its mission through a variety of initiatives including grant offerings, the traveling art cart, and the DACE studio.
