Wind and Jazz Ensemble Reunion
Friday, April 12 ʳɫ Sunday, April 14, 2024
Please join us on campus for a special musical reunion with special guest Prof. Bill Lawing!
We welcome all of Davidsonʳɫs Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, chamber ensemble, and jazz combo performers from over the years to gather on campus, hear some top-notch music, play a little if you wish, and mingle with other alumni musicians.
William D. Lawing Alumni Fund for Instrument Lessons
The alumni members of our committee are excited to establish the William D. Lawing Alumni Fund for Instrument Lessons, in honor of this Wind and Jazz Ensemble Reunion and the legacy of Doc Lawingʳɫs 46 years of leadership and passion for continually raising the bar in music education. Our contributions will provide instrument lessons to a number of Davidson students who participate in these ensembles (the more money we raise, the more we fund), both enhancing their lifelong music skills and the quality of college ensemble playing.
Please help us kickstart this fund and start off strong! To make a contribution, please select ʳɫOtherʳɫ as the designation and reference this fund by typing in ʳɫWilliam D. Lawing Alumni Fund for Instrument Lessonsʳɫ.

He has enjoyed a successful career as a solo, chamber and symphonic musician. Bill serves as artistic director of the Traditional Music Series at Davidson and performs as a member of the Western Piedmont Symphony and Carolina Brass, a brass quintet.
