Disability Resources
ʳɫ¹ÙÍø values the diversity of its community and is an equal access institution that admits otherwise qualified applicants without regard to disability.
The Academic Access and Disability Resources Office (AADR) shares the responsibility of accessibility with other college offices and departments by working closely together and striving to make academic courses, course content, services, programs, and facilities accessible to every student.
A student with a disability has the right to request academic and non-academic accommodations ensuring equal access. Students are not required to disclose their disability status; however, if they are seeking accommodations relative to their disability, they are responsible for submitting a request to AADR and providing the appropriate documentation. Students are strongly encouraged to register and request accommodations as soon as possible. Accommodations are not retroactive and will not begin until AADR staff have issued a formal communication stating the approved accommodations.
Having a disability does not automatically qualify a student to receive accommodations. Support services are provided individually based on diagnosis, current diagnostic information, and functional limitations. The college seeks to accommodate students with requests that are determined to be reasonable and do not compromise the integrity of a program or curriculum.
If you are a current student and would like to request accommodations, please log into to complete the AADR registration form.
If you are a prospective with a disability and would like to request accommodations or more information about disability resources, please contact Beth Bleil, director of Academic Access and Disability Resources, at bebleil@davidson.edu or 704-894-2129.
