Transcripts

ʳɫ¹ÙÍø has contracted with the to process all of our transcript orders. Both paper and electronic (secure PDF) transcripts may be requested through the Clearinghouse.

Orders through the Clearinghouse may be placed 24/7. Electronic transcripts are fully automated and are typically sent to the recipient in under an hour. Electronic orders with attachments are reviewed manually and may experience up to a one-business day delay. Paper transcripts are typically placed in the mail within 24 hours (or the next business day, depending on when the order was placed).

There is no charge for current students unless express mail service is requested. There is a minimal $7.50 charge for alumni and former students.

Official or Unofficial

These phrases sometimes cause confusion, and they refer to how the document is transmitted or delivered. The document's contents are the same.

Anytime a transcript (paper or electronic) is sent directly from the National Student Clearinghouse to a third party, that transcript is considered an official transcript.

If you request an electronic copy sent to yourself so you can upload it somewhere or send it to someone, that copy is considered unofficial.

If you request a paper copy sent to yourself, as long as you do not open the envelope you can send the sealed envelope to a third party and it will still be considered official.

Sending a transcript to ʳɫ¹ÙÍø

In order for courses taken elsewhere (summer or abroad programs) to be added to your Davidson record we need a final transcript showing those courses. We prefer electronic copies sent via the Electronic Transcript Exchange or via email to registrar@davidson.edu. If paper is the only option, they can be sent to:
